Communities Feeding Communities
The Social Food Pantry (PSN’s community food support service) operates every Tuesday and Friday. We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Volunteer Kitchen Lead to oversee the planning, preparation, service, and clean-up of our community lunch.
This role involves leading the delivery of a healthy, nutritious meal for approximately 20 community members per service, using predominantly rescued food. You will be supported by on-site staff and assisted by other volunteers to ensure a safe, welcoming, and well-organised meal service.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, preparation, serving, and clean-up of the community meal
Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers
Ensure meals are prepared and served in a safe and inclusive environment
Skills and Experience
Organised and reliable
Creative interest in healthy cooking
Ability to engage respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds
Genuine passion for supporting the community
Commitment Requirements
Available to volunteer either Tuesdays and Fridays
Able to commit for a minimum of three months
Must be 18 years or older
Volunteer Hours
Tuesday: 9.30am – 1.00pm
Friday: 9.30am – 1.00pm
