Te Kowhiringa I The Opportunity
Our Enliven Day Service is a Monday to Friday, community-based programme, focused on engaging older adults in high quality, interesting activities that matter, in a safe and enriching environment.
As a Deputy Team Leader you will follow the direction of the Team Leader by delivering a person-centered service to ensure that support for clients is provided to the best possible standards and meets their individual needs. You will be involved in coaching and being a role model for the Day Services team and work collaboratively with staff, volunteers and external stakeholders. The role will require support with administrative tasks and ensuring resources are wisely managed. The cultural safety and choices of clients will be a priority to you, as well as ensuring client, whanau/family satisfaction and enabling client independence. You will further work alongside the team, which includes driving clients to and from the programme, engaging with clients and facilitating group activities.
Ngā pūkenga kei a koe I Your Skills and Experience
We'd love to hear from you if you have leadership skills combined with experience organising and facilitating group activities for older people. In addition, you will have:
- Experience in aged care in a community or rehabilitation setting
- A Full New Zealand Driver's Licence (we cannot accept any international licence)
- Excellent communication skills, including clear spoken English
- Client observation and documentation skills
- A sound understanding of working in a diverse cultural environment
- Administration experience
- High level of computer literacy
- Experience coaching others
- Able to problem solve and work well under pressure
- Sound time management and prioritisation skills
