Our Shine team is one of New Zealand’s leading providers of family violence support and prevention services. Since 1990 we have helped thousands of adult and child victims become safer and stay safer, raised awareness and recognition of family violence, and delivered training programmes to help prevent and eliminate harm and violence in the home.
Te Kowhiringa I The Opportunity
Based in central Auckland, we are looking for Programme Facilitators to deliver group and individual programmes to deliver the below programmes.
+ parenting programme or
+ Kidshine programme or
+Safety programme (women and child)
+ Whanau Resilience & Non Violence Programme
Flexible to facilitate other programme and understanding of wider programmes like Non Violence programme .
Ngā pūkenga kei a koe I Your Skills and Experience
We are looking for a confident and engaging trainer with a tertiary level degree, majority in one of the following areas - Social Work, Counselling or Psychology. In addition, you will have:
- 5+ years experience facilitating and delivering programmes in a social services setting
- Sound knowledge of family harm, its dynamics, and effects on children, men, women and family
- No reservation to work with high risk users of violence
- Advanced ability to engage and build rapport with clients
- Excellent ability to network and represent our Shine Service in the community and form collaborative relationships with external groups such as Oranga Tamariki and other family focused agencies
- A confident working knowledge and understanding of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi
- Ability to work from our Epsom based, Central Auckland location
