Te Kowhiringa I The Opportunity
On a day-to-day basis, you will be working in a local school setting, working with a case load of families, providing early intervention and preventive social work services to vulnerable children and teens, and their whanau. This includes individual and group work, and using our strengths-based, multi-systemic approach to encourage positive and lasting change.

To be successful as a Social Worker in Schools (SWIS) you will have a professional, warm and engaging nature, and:
- A tertiary level degree, majoring / specialised in Social Work
- Registered with the Social Workers Registration Board essential
- Full, clean NZ driver licence, and a reliable vehicle
- Relevant experience
- Advanced interpersonal skills, including ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, their families, the local school and your colleagues
- Excellent ability to maintain professional boundaries, meet KPI's and adhere to practice requirements
- Confident working knowledge of Tikanga Maori; and commitment to working with Tangata Whenua
- Experience working with children in a school setting would be a distinct advantage
