Te Kowhiringa I The Opportunity
Our Te Hononga based service is seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker with management experience to lead a talented team of Family Works Social Workers. This challenging role will see you consolidate your practice skills with leadership skills.
You will be responsible for ensuring service provision is delivered to a high standard whilst building relationships with the local community, and supporting your team in their development.
This role is 16 hours per week

To be successful in this role we need to know you have:
- Commitment to work from a culturally responsive perspective and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi;
- Proven operational and people management experience
- The ability to develop and maintain relationships in the community
- Outstanding communication and people skills
- A recognised Social Work qualification
- Proven skills in trauma informed practise
- Strength based practice principles
- The ability to engage with families where signs of safety are an issue
- Membership with SWRB
- Strong ability to work across cultures
