Social Worker -Family Violence
Be part of the solution - Help us on our mission to prevent family violence and save lives in New Zealand!

Ko mātou tēnei I This is Us
At Presbyterian Support Northern (PSN), we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive and contribute to their community.
Our 900-strong team works from Taupō to Whangārei, providing essential health and social services through our core services: Enliven, Family Works, Lifeline, and Shine.
Guided by our purpose — to enable better lives — and our values of Hope, Trust & Integrity, Compassion, Partnership, and Tangata Whenua, we’re proud to stand alongside those we serve.
Shine has been at the forefront of family violence prevention since 1990, supporting thousands of adults and children to become and remain safe, raising awareness nationwide, and delivering education and training to help eliminate violence in the home.
Te Kowhiringa I The Opportunity
Based at our central Auckland office, you’ll work across the community and our refuges to help clients achieve and maintain safety and stability.
You’ll provide practical and emotional support, connecting clients with community and cultural networks, housing and financial resources, and essential services that promote long-term wellbeing.
This is an active, hands-on role — you’ll sometimes assist with practical tasks such as cleaning, bed-making, and transport, so good mobility and physical fitness are important.
Flexibility to work weekends is also required.
