Te Kowhiringa   I  The Opportunity
Are you passionate about helping whānau build safety, resilience, and brighter futures? Join our Family Works Northern team and make a real difference in the lives of tamariki and families affected by family violence. You will provide practical support, advocacy, and therapeutic interventions that promote wellbeing and lasting change. Working closely with social workers, counsellors, and other Social Services or PSN practitioners, as well as community and government partners, you’ll be part of a collaborative, values-driven team delivering holistic, integrated, and culturally responsive support for tamariki and their whānau.
Ngā pūkenga kei a koe I Your Skills and Experience
You will have:
• A social work qualification and be registered with SWRB as a full member.
• A full current New Zealand Driver’s Licence.
• Experience working with children and families and an understanding of Family Violence.
• Experience working with Tangata Whenua and/or families from diverse cultures and ethnicities.
• Effective written and oral communication skills, with sound prioritization and time management skills.
The ideal candidate will have a positive outlook, be able to work under pressure, and problem solve.
