Te Kowhiringa I The Opportunity
We are looking for someone who has a successful track record in previous finance positions either as an Assistant Accountant or a strong Accounts person who is prepared to take on extra responsibility.
This position is responsible for providing financial support to the accountants and wider finance team. Effectively managing key elements of the finance system and being responsible for managing fortnightly Individualised funding salary payment and third-party creditors payments (Process IF batches on Care Call) and the below responsibilities:
• Accounts Receivable Invoicing for Enliven Individualised Funding (IF) Claims, and Shine.
• Reporting CAPEX, fixed assets and projects work-in-progress financial activity
• Manage credit cards
Month End process and Balance sheet reconciliations
• Organisational financial support in the areas allocated to the position
This is not a standard role, there is a lot of variety and there is a requirement to work with various stakeholders.
Ngā pūkenga kei a koe I Your Skills and Experience
- A strong foundation in Accounting with at least 3 years of commercial experience
- Experience in working with Financial Systems like Microsoft Business Dynamics
- Understanding of accounting standards and relevant legislations
- Experience in continuous process improvements
- Experience of bank reconciliation, accounts payable, month end reporting, accruals
- System savvy skills - with intermediate MS Excel skills
- Willingness and ability to learn quickly
- Able to work effectively under deadlines and pressure
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Open-minded, with supporting the team with ad hoc tasks
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
