Te Kowhiringa I The Opportunity
Based in central Auckland, we are looking for a Programme Facilitator to deliver group and individual programmes to deliver the Non-Violence Programme & Whanau Resilience programmes.
All roles will be 40 hours per week with one night group session from 6pm to 9pm during per week .
Here at Shine we provide a range of effective, practical and innovative services that help thousands of women, children and families children affected by family violence every year. We help both directly and indirectly through our frontline services and our professional training programmes. Whānau Resilience is an initiative that aims to create strong, resilient communities where whānau are supported to live violence free and to eliminate violence for the next generation.
Ngā pūkenga kei a koe I Your Skills and Experience
We are looking for a confident and engaging trainer with a tertiary level degree, majority in one of the following areas - Social Work, Counselling, Psychology and Sociology In addition, you will have: or working towards registration
- 3+ years’ experience facilitating and delivering Family Violence programmes in a social service setting.
- Sound knowledge of family violence, its dynamics, and effects on children, men, women and family.
- Advanced ability to engage and build rapport with clients
- Excellent ability to network and represent our Shine Service in the community and form collaborative relationships with external groups such as Oranga Tamariki and other family focused agencies.
- A confident working knowledge and understanding of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi
- Ability to work from our Epsom based, Central Auckland location.
