Looking for a meaningful way to give back? Join our team as a Social Food Pantry Assistant and help support individuals and families in your local community.
This is a hands-on, behind-the-scenes role that keeps our pantry running smoothly and ensures food gets to those who need it most.
Volunteer Shifts Available:
Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and /or Fridays | 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM
What You’ll Do:
- Pack food parcels and fresh produce packs for distribution
- Unpack and sort donations, including weekly deliveries (potatoes, onions, Kiwi Harvest items)
- Restock pantry shelves and manage inventory
- Clean and prepare produce from our on-site garden team
- Assist with general cleaning (pantry, kitchen, fridges, and freezers)
What We’re Looking For:
- Aged 18 or over
- Physically able and happy to roll up your sleeves
- Organised, reliable, and a team player
- Comfortable working in a busy, task-focused setting
- Able to commit to at least 1 x shift per week for a minimum of 3 months
