Te Kowhiringa I The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Manager with Family Violence experience to lead our advocate practitioners to provide advocacy and support to victims and their whānau.
you will also be looking after our refuge centres.
Flexibility around hours as some evening and weekend on call work will be required. On call work is reimbursed accordingly.
Ngā pūkenga kei a koe I Your Skills and Experience
- A Social Work registration and 3 or more years’ experience in a managerial position
- An understanding of the causes and dynamics of intimate partner violence with clear gender analysis
- A working understanding of statutory requirements of Oranga Tamariki and the New Zealand Police
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Tenacity and determination; and the ability to manage many tasks simultaneously
- Commitment to developing and maintaining networks in the community
- Knowledge of legal and social systems and community resources and how to use Willingness to learn and grow your understanding of the legal and social systems
- Skills with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel and a willingness to develop experience in other applications.
