People & Culture Business Partner
Reporting to People and Culture Manager, you will be responsible for leading and supporting delivery of all things HR across the portfolio.

With close to 900 employees across 25 locations, people and service delivery are the key focus, and the People and Culture Partner is a critical role that will deliver both operationally and strategically across all aspects of Human Resources partnering. Working closely with People and Culture Manager & the GM Engagement, this role will focus on the support and delivery of best practice people initiatives, maximising productivity, and establishing positive long-term people relationships that will enhance strategic and operational delivery.
Reporting to People and Culture Manager, you will be responsible for leading and supporting delivery of all things HR across the portfolio. You will partner closely with the GM Health and Disability to help develop and implement the people strategy. This role is operational with strategic.
The key responsibilities of this role include;
- Providing responsive, pragmatic, expertise, support, and guidance on a range of People and Culture related matters.
- Championing People and Culture programmes, initiatives, and strategies to enable successful and consistent implementation across the organisation.
- Leading cyclic People and Culture activities for allocated portfolio - such as remuneration review, employee surveys, performance reviews, recognition programmes.
- Employee relations
- Aligning people leaders with People and Culture programmes and resources to support them to be equipped with necessary people skills.
- Building and maintaining effective work relationships.
- Recommending and inputting into ongoing improvements.
Who you are:
- An experienced HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor with a proven skillset in coaching and giving feedback to managers
- Proven to have developed and managed excellent stakeholder relationships
- An excellent communicator – both on an individual and group basis, with examples of having managed complex and on occasion, difficult messages
- Able to operate and work within a not-for-profit having shown resilience and positivity
- Able to demonstrate skills in Employee relations - able to use insights and information and draw from previous experiences, understanding of NZ legislation
- Possess an authentic and compassionate style with high EQ.
