For more than half a century, Lifeline Aotearoa has been there helping New Zealanders in crisis or distress. Lifeline provides a 24/7 nationwide helpline and text-line counselling service to support the emotional and mental wellbeing of our callers and communities.
Te Kowhiringa I The Opportunity
Our Lifeline Counsellors work allocated shifts on a fortnightly basis to answer calls across our helplines and or text message line.
The shifts are from 7am to 3.30pm and 3.30pm to 12.00am. You must be able to do both of these shifts and be able to work one weekend a fortnight.
Ngā pūkenga kei a koe I Your Skills and Experience
You will have:
- A Social Services related degree (Counselling, Psychology, Social work)
- Experience providing counselling support
- Able to work flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Have a passion for supporting people when they are most distressed in a way that is empowering and effective.
- Can work 32 hours a week.
- Live in Auckland
