Te Kowhiringa I The Opportunity
You will be responsible for providing executive support to the CEO. This is a fast-paced and varied role, which will see you use your dynamic administrative skills, initiative, and problem-solving abilities to deliver outstanding results.
Responsibilities include the full range of EA tasks from diary coordination, to relationship management, meeting preparation, communications, correspondence and reports, arranging travel, expenses, triaging priorities and ensuring deadlines are met, preparing briefings, planning and organising workflow.
You will be organised and have a structured approach. You will have a strong interest in process improvement and an excellent ability to use technology to achieve great outcomes. You understand the nature of confidentiality and operate with integrity at all times. You love people, build relationships with ease, and empathy comes naturally to you.
Your mission will be to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, enabling our CEO to focus on leading the organisation and driving success.
This role is not for the faint-hearted as there is never a dull moment and new challenges occur every day. So, we need to know you are capable of working under pressure, have a positive approach to your work and a natural inclination to go the extra mile.
Ngā pūkenga kei a koe I Your Skills and Experience
You will have at least 5 years proven track record as an EA/PA to a CEO or senior leader, highly technologically literate, with a meticulous attention to detail, a great problem solver and an exceptional relationship builder. Experience in project coordination will be an advantage.
- An awareness and understanding of Te Ao Māori
- Values diversity in all its forms, with an inclusive nature
- A “can do”, positive and friendly attitude with a high level of self-motivation and initiative
- Able to operate effectively without constant supervision
- An organising superstar, with outstanding multi-tasking ability and the skill to juggle priorities calmly and effectively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A good listener who understands the needs of the CEO and responds accordingly
- Approaches life as a lifelong learning journey and interested in continuous improvement
- Excellent skills using the Microsoft Suite, SharePoint, IT systems and databases
- Preferably, you have experience working with organising tools like Trello (or others), or you can demonstrate that you’re a quick and willing learner
- A genuine interest in working for one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s leading not for profit organisations
