Te Kowhiringa I The Opportunity
Our Te Hononga based service is seeking a talented full time or part-time experienced Social Workers or Counsellors to join the team. This exciting role will see you engage with children and their families and work with them towards achieving positive and lasting differences in their lives.
This role is dedicated to social work and /or counselling and to programme facilitation
Ngā pūkenga kei a koe I Your Skills and Experience
- A qualified Social Worker or Counsellor
- Registered with the SWRB or NZAC
- Familiar with strength-based practice principles
- Competent in working with families affected by multiple issues including domestic violence and child abuse
- Able to engage with families where signs of safety are an issue
- A person who thrives in a busy multi-disciplinary team
- Enjoy group facilitation
- Show exemplary professional practice
- Have experience in, and can evidence effectively, working with Maori families
- Have outstanding communication and people skills
- Have excellent family support, assessment and counselling abilities.
