Since 1990 we have helped thousands of adult and child victims become safer and stay safer, raised awareness and recognition of family violence, and delivered training programmes to help prevent and eliminate harm and violence in the home.
Te Kowhiringa I The Opportunity
Working from our central Auckland office and our refuge centres ; on a day to day basis you will work with clients to ensure that they can achieve and maintain safety. This includes that they have access to the basic needs for family, community & cultural support, financial & housing stability, food, learning & employment; and access to equitable & responsive services.
This is a role where you will make a difference to Advocate against those that are involved in family violence.
This opportunity is available for those that are looking for either full time, weekend work or evening work. Lets discuss what works for you!
Ngā pūkenga kei a koe I Your Skills and Experience
You are a qualified, registered and experienced Social Worker with proven experience in the family violence sector (2 years+). In addition, you have:
- A comprehensive understanding of the causes and dynamics of intimate partner violence
- Must have proven working experience in family violence
- Knowledge of local social systems and community resources
- Commitment to developing and maintaining strong networks in the community
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to manage competing demands
- Resilience, tenacity and determination
- Digital literacy, including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- Able to contribute to an on call roster and work outside of hours from time to time (which will be compensated accordingly)
